Rate Updates
Effective July 1, 2024, the following locations have local rate changes unless otherwise noted as having a state rate change:

Tax Administration Updates:


Anniston, Alabama: The sales, use, and rental tax administration will change from PREMA to the Alabama Department of Revenue, effective July 1, 2024. This will impact reporting starting August 1, 2024.

Content Updates
Connecticut - E911 Fee: Effective July 1, 2024, the E911 fee will increase to $0.73.
Minnesota - E911 Fee: Effective July 1, 2024, the E911 fee will increase to $0.83.
Vermont: The Vermont Legislature has overturned the Governor’s veto of Bill H.887. Effective July 1, 2024, cloud-based software, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, will be taxable.


Sales Tax Holidays
Alabama:Back to School Sales Tax Holiday: July 19-21, 2024. Exemptions include:Clothing priced $100 or less
Computers, software, and school supplies priced $750 or less
School supplies and books priced $50 or less

Florida:Freedom Month Sales Tax Holiday: July 1-31, 2024. Exemptions include admissions to events, electric scooters, eligible boating and camping supplies, and more.
Back to School Sales Tax Holiday: July 29-August 11, 2024. Exemptions include clothing, footwear, and school supplies with specified price limits.

Mississippi: Clothing and School Supplies Sales Tax Holiday: July 12-14, 2024. Exemptions include clothing, footwear, and school supplies priced under $100.
Ohio:

Sales Tax Holiday: July 30-August 8, 2024. New this year, most items $500 or less are exempt.

Puerto Rico:Back to School Sales Tax Holiday: July 19-20, 2024. Exemptions include certain school uniforms and supplies.

Tennessee:Sales Tax Holiday: July 26-28, 2024. Exemptions include clothing, school supplies, and computers priced $1,500 or less.
Sales Tax News

Colorado:Retail Delivery Fee: Effective July 1, 2024, the fee will increase from $0.28 to $0.29.

Minnesota:Retail Delivery Fee: Starting July 1, 2024, a new fee of $0.50 will apply to certain retail deliveries.
